Function of Naringin
1. Cholesterol-lowering effect, help treating diabetes
2. Naringin (and grapefruit) can interfere with certain drugs including calcium channel blockers, sedatives,cholesterol lowering drugs, and estrogen.
3. Naringin stimulates the effect of and could therefore increase its fat burning action.

About Naringin
Naringin belongs to the group of flavonoids. Naringin is a conjugate of a sugar molecule with naringenin. 
Naringin, a flavanoid in grapefruit and other citrus fruits, potently inhibits intestinal organic anion-transporting polypeptide 1A2 (OATP1A2). Grapefruit juice thereby reduces bioavailability of many pharmacological agents taken at the same time.
