About Pomalidomide
Pomalidomide, a derivative of thalidomide, has anti-angiogenic properties and can also act as an immunomodulator. Pomalidomide belongs to an important class of molecules, a third-generation member of the immunomodulatory drug (IMiD) class. In addition to its immunomodulatory and anti-angiogenic activities, pomalidomide also has direct activity against myeloma cells, affecting gene expression and promoting apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.
